Air Driven Heron UAV Hydraulic Test Stand

Hydraulics International’s mobile hydraulic test stand is rated for 3250 psi and designed for use with MIL-H-5606 oil service. This portable test stand is mounted on four heavy-duty castor wheels, two with brakes and two fixed, making it easy to maneuver. It is specifically designed for bleeding Heron hydraulic systems with pressure up to 53 psi and testing Heron landing gear actuators with pressure up to 3250 psi. The self-contained test stand is capable of operating both in flight line environments and indoor settings.

POWER SUPPLY UNIT:
• Air operated pump model 3L-SS-41
• Manual operated pump with 4.5 liter stainless steel reservoir with breather
• 25-liter main oil reservoir (stainless-steel) with sight gauge, fill/vent cap, outlet ball valve, drain ball valve, and float mechanism to stop the pump in the event of low oil level
• Suction filter with visual clog indicator
• Outlet filter with visual clog indicator
• 3-way, 2-position ball type selector valve that allows selecting between the two test stations
BLEEDING THE HERON HYDRAULIC SYSTEM
• Nitrogen accumulator, bladder type with volume of 10-liters. On the N2 side, the accumulator is equipped with pressure gauge 0-60 bar and charging valve pre-charge pressure: 150 psi
• Sight gauges that serve for checking the oil for air bubbles
• Needle valve between the accumulator and sight gauge
• Manifold with relief valve downstream of the air pump to the bleeding station, pressure reducing valve to the HERON hydraulic system, relief valve in the supply line to the HERON hydraulic system, restrictor to control the inlet flow to the bleeding station, check valve, ball valve between the bleeding station and the hydraulic accumulator
• Pressure gauge 0-6 bar displays the pressure supplied to the Heron hydraulic system
• Flexible hose for connecting the bleeding station to the HERON hydraulic system
• Quick connector for interfacing the HERON hydraulic system
TEST STATION FOR THE HERON LANDING GEAR ACTUATORS
• Manifold with two counterbalance valves, two needle valves, relief valve controlling the air pump
• Four ways, three position selector valve for extending/retracting the landing gear actuators and for releasing the supply pressure
• Two outlet pressure gauges 0-250 bar that display the pressure to the landing gear actuators
PNEUMATIC SYSTEM
• Shop air controls (including air filter, regulator, gauge, and air flow control valve)
• Pressure in the test station for landing gear actuators: 3200-3250 psi
MECHANICAL STRUCTURE
• Rigid frame on castors with pallet jack openings with tilted stainless steel control panel
• Foldable cover for the control panel with gas shock absorbers
• Four wheels with diameter 125 mm. Two wheels castor with brake and two fixed
• Foldable towing bar with handles for manual towing. Towing bar to be locked
• Three hooks for wrapping flexible hose assemblies.
