Flow Meters in Laboratories

Flowmetrics, Inc. is proud to be the preferred supplier of flow meters to many of the greatest organizations in the laboratories. The following is a collection of some of our most notable customers in this field and the specific Flowmetrics products and services they currently use:

Sandia National Laboratories currently operates the Flowmetrics FM series turbine flow meters with the PA1001A signal conditioner and converters which are calibrated to measure the flow of air, methane gas, and hydrogen gas. They also employ the Flowmetrics FMT series tangential turbine flow meter with customized carbide pivot bearings and the PA1001A Signal Conditioner and Converter in the weatherproof housing which are calibrated to measure the flow of both air and water.

The Los Alamos National Lab currently employs the Flowmetrics FM series flow meters with RF pickups, which are calibrated to measure the flow of nitrogen gas, to aid in their efforts to solve national security challenges through scientific research.

Brigham Young University currently uses the Flowmetrics FM series turbine flow meter with the 202Di intrinsically safe field mounting rate totalizer, which is calibrated to measure the flow of nitrogen gas, in their academic research laboratories.

The National Research Council of Canada is currently using the Flowmetrics RF pickups in the IAR Aerodynamics Research Laboratory.

Champion Laboratories Inccurrently relies on Flowmetrics calibration and repair services for their flow meter products.

Below is a list of several other notable Laboratories utilizing Flowmetrics flow meter products and calibration services:

  • Abbot Labs
  • Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory
  • Texaco Refining Labs
  • Unocal Chemical Labs
  • Upjohn Labs (now part of Pfizer)
  • US Borax and Chemical Labs
