Flow meters In the Energy Industry
Flowmetrics, Inc. is proud to be the preferred supplier of flow meter products and calibration services to many of the greatest organizations in the energy sector. The following is a collection of some of our most notable customers in this market and the specific Flowmetrics products and services they currently use:
Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises currently employs the Flowmetrics FM series turbine flow meter with the PA1001A signal conditioner and converter (in a polyurethane weatherproof housing) as well as the Hi-temp RF pickups. These flow meters are calibrated to measure the flow of hydrazine and water at Babcock & Wilcox nuclear power facilities.
The Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory (KAPL) currently operates the Flowmetrics FMT series tangential turbine flow meter with custom jewel bearings, RF Pickups, and the PA1001A signal conditioner and converter in weatherproof housing. These flow meters are calibrated to measure the flow of MIL-C-7024 which is a solvent designed for use in the calibration of fuel system components in gas turbines and aircraft reciprocating engines. KAPL also employs the Flowmetrics FM Series Turbine flow meter with Hi-temp MAG Pickups and the PA1001A signal conditioner and converter in the NEMA weatherproof housing. These flow meters underwent special Hydrostatic testing up to 3750 psi and are calibrated to measure the flow of demineralized water with trace amounts of ammonia.
Kenetech Windpower Inc. has installed the Flowmetrics FM series turbine flow meter with 115/230 signal conditioner power supply for their customers.
Below is a list of several other notable businesses in the Energy sector which are utilizing Flowmetrics flow meter products and calibration services:
